The alchemy of December

My friend Boris and I went this week to develop some new wet collodion plates at Darko Ilic's lab,
nearby Avala mountain near Belgrade. Here are some process and results :-)



great vintage lenses including Schneider Kreuznach



pouring the collodion on glass



adding glass with the collodion into silver-nitrate to become sensitive on light
capturing the model, setting right exposure for both daylight and artificial light
developer: iron-sulphate,acetic acid,alcohol,distilled water,nitric acid

fixing with sodium thiosulfate


varnished with Sandarakresin

Radionica/workshop"Recording a daydream" pinholes

Here are some of the participants shoots made on the workshop Recording a Daydream (project Photo Narratives) on a photo walks around the shipwreck Župa; an old pyramid Nazi bunker in Bara Venecija district, and so-called Spanish house in Savamala near Branko's bridge in Belgrade. They  used a DIY pinhole camera made on the third day of the workshop and explored around.

Radionica /workshop"Out of the Box"day 4&5

Urban Incubator Education Program presents photo-workshop "Out of the box" within the Photo Narratives project, between the 9th of May to 14th of June 2015 at KM8 space (Kraljevića Marka street 8)
The photo-workshop "Out of the box" aims to instruct the participants how to relocate from the settled zone of classical photographic approach and to attempt to implement the full photo story through creative thinking about the photographic medium and its capabilities.
The workshop is intended for advanced amateur photographers who own their photo equipment and knowledge in the use of the camera with which they work, whether digital or analogue. The participants will develop creative thinking about the photographic projects and their implementation from concept to realization, through the lectures and different examples from the practice.
The workshop trains the participant to form and to present the work to the audience successfully, through the selection of adequate number of photos and through the final presentation of the completed work. The workshop is intended for advanced amateur photographer who own their photo equipment and knowledge in the use of the camera with which they work, digital or analogue (optional advanced photo equipment).

The workshop facilitator is Marija Konjikušić born 1978 in Belgrade. She graduated at the Faculty of Philosophy / Department of History of Art, and web design at the IT Academy in Belgrade. She is engaged in photography for the last 15 years, she works as a professional photographer for the Student Campus Cultural Centre and as well as a freelance photographer on various projects. She has exhibited in three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in the country. She is working for the Student Cultural Center, as well as a freelance photographer on various projects.
